too long for twitter (though I stand by my opinions of Tchaikovsky being the better bishonen)
I'm always a little miffed whenever someone calls Vivaldi "whiny".
Delicate? Most certainly!
Flowery? Oh, but of course! Hello, it is Baroque!
But... whiny of all things? Don't stomp on Vivaldi simply because his music isn't loud as the Romantics'!
--Thankfully, I rarely meet someone who can even differentiate music through the ages beyond "Classical", let alone criticise it- but still. Shh.
